Cover Reveal: No Angel by Pippa Jay

The next book from Pippa Jay coming in December 2014!

Blurb: How far would you fall for love?

Centuries ago, guardian angel Lucien committed a terrible sin. He gave into his own desires and revealed himself to the mortal woman he'd been charged to protect. By kissing her, he condemned himself. Torn of his wings and his angelic powers, thrown down into the City Below, Lucien now serves Satan as an incubus who claims souls for his master from the City Above, and who feeds on the energy stolen from his mortal lovers. Dark, sexy and charming, he's been top of his league for decades uncounted.

Until His Infernal Highness decides to send Lucien looking for a lost angel. Lucien has no idea what he did to deserve such a punishment, and the touch of an angel could destroy him. Yet the challenge and the potential kudos of seducing one of his former heavenly kin leads him on.

But when he finds the angel, he learns he still has more to lose than his already forsaken soul.

Although happily settled in the historical town of Colchester in the UK with her husband of 21 years and three little monsters, she continues to roam the rest of the Universe in her head.

Cover Reveal: A Class Act by Leigh Ellwood

Leigh Ellwood here. I am thrilled to finally show off the cover for my upcoming 1Night Stand story with Decadent Publishing.

Say hello to Paul and Barry of A CLASS ACT: Barry Kellam receives a mysterious invitation from 1Night Stand and can’t imagine who would arrange a night of sexual passion with him...except perhaps a former student who’s gone on to greater things. Paul Merrill is the toast of Broadway. While the awards and fame are nice, he wants to share his success—and his body—with the man who inspired him. But Dr. Kellam isn’t one to date fellow faculty or alumni. Will he answer Madame Eve’s call?
~

A CLASS ACT is my second 1Night Stand story, and while it's part of the "Class in Session" series, the story stands alone. You don't have to read A DIFFERENT CLASS first, but you are welcome to do so. :)

Meanwhile, I am also pleased to announce that Coming Together has accepted my M/M short, FOX'S HOLIDAY for the upcoming COMING TOGETHER: FOR THE HOLIDAYS collection. I don't think I've had a busier Fall, with four releases due out! Will have to plan an awesome giveaway for the multibook launch.
 ~

About the Author:  I am Leigh Ellwood. I write smutty stories about people who like getting naked and having sex. Some have more sex than others, some have sex with people of the same gender, some have sex with more than one person, and still others have sex with toys and things that require the use of batteries. My stories range from a few thousand words to well past 70k. I have won awards for writing, and I have received 5star reviews. I have also received 1star reviews and people have looked at me funny at cons and events. I enjoy reading, yoga, and rock music. I liked the 9th Doctor best. I don’t wear dresses. I won’t cut my hair or color it. I will not limit myself to one genre when it comes to writing. I write contemporary, paranormal, gay, lesbian, menage, geek, short, long, purposely funny and hilariously sad. If I never win a major award or make a list, I will live content in the fact that I have written something, and that’s the dream.

Interviews with Victoria: Blake from Long Overdue by Tara Andrews

Victoria: Today, I have on my couch, Blake from the lovely, 1NS, Long Overdue by Tara Andrews.

I'm a gal that likes whips, chains, spikey things, and breaking the ice. So tell me, what's your favorite sexual position?

Blake: Whoa. *settles back and stretches an arm across the back of the couch*

You don’t hold any punches, do you?

Victoria: I sure don't. *winks*

Blake: *shrugs* Not really many I don’t like, but if we’re talking what turns me on the most? When I’m standing and she’s lying on something in front of me. And if we’re flying, even better. Advantages of owning my own planes.

Victoria: Now that's a club I've never joined, the Mile High variety. While you're sailing the sexual friendly skies do you prefer boxers or briefs? Panties or thongs?

Blake: For me, boxers, of course.  Panties for her. Something soft, like silk. There’s just something seductive in the way they curve around her ass, and there’s more to grab onto when needed.

Victoria: I'm all about the grabbing. Speaking of that, can you please tell me your biggest secret?

Blake: I’m not big on telling secrets. However, since you asked nicely, I will elaborate on something mentioned in the book. I regretted not asking Jill out back in college, but also glad I didn’t because, ten years ago, I don’t think I would have known how to give her everything she deserves.

Victoria: Something you and I have in common Blake, redeeming our past mistakes. I also firmly believe in knowing what you want, as well as how to give. So describe in 3 words your ideal woman or man? Hell, why not both *evil grin*

Blake: My ideal woman is real, honest, and independent.

Victoria: Keeping it simple. I can appreciate that, Blake. You know, my book is called 'What You Need' and I think it speaks for itself. *winks* What do you think about the author's title for your book?

Blake: I have to say, the title Long Overdue couldn’t have been more appropriate for me and Jill. Our relationship was long overdue. I also happen to know, the author relates to title on a personal level since she’d been writing for many years before pursuing writing seriously.

Well, thanks for stopping by Blake. I had a wonderful time. I implore all you readers to take advantage of getting Blake and Jill's story at a great price of 99cents right now. See below for more info on the book and where to buy.

Blurb: Jill Malone has been looking for love for all the wrong reasons. A reality check has her signing up for a no-strings attached night to simply forget about forever after. The last thing she expected was to know her blind date.

Blake Anders doesn’t need help finding a date, but he’s tempted by 1Night Stand’s reputation of arranging exactly what a person needs. And he needs more. Though doubtful, he agrees to one night and hopes to discover his perfect match. He didn’t count on Madame Eve reaching deep into his past to give him a night with the woman he never forgot.

Fearing another broken heart, Jill works to keep herself from becoming attached, but Blake goes all in to convince her that he wants their long-overdue love to be more than a one-night stand…

Interviews with Victoria: Anabel Divided by Amanda Romine Lynch #giveaway

Before we get started let me say:
 - I was against this from the start. Completely. My lovely fem-dom, Victoria, vehemently requested I allow her to start interviewing characters from other books.
- I told her other characters might find her intimidating and she had to keep things focused on the book. We'll see how well this goes. Without further ado:

Interviews with Victoria

Welcome to Landra's Blog! She's letting me have a little fun and I'm so happy to have you here today, Anabel

Thanks for having me, Victoria. It's a pleasure. I think.

Let's not beat around with weeping willows. I already know that you've started scandals a plenty, but the true question is do you prefer missionary or doggie-style? And yes, I mean sexual position.

Are you going to ask what kind of underwear I sport next? I find that both positions are useful at different moments. And I don't start scandals; they find me and drag me in.

Interesting, and if you had to describe your ideal man in three words?

Dr. Richard Carrington. My Romanticism professor. No? Fine. Smart. Sexy. Literate.

 *Laughs*

All good traits in a man, though I prefer mine submissive too. Also, I like your attitude and since you mentioned it, what kind of underwear do you sport?

Why, you want to see?

*Pulls skirt a little to check*

They are purple. My evil ex-sister-in-law bought them for me.

Nice. I'm a fan of red myself. *lifts shirt and pulls on the strap of a red thong*

Alright, now the tough question. If you were asked right now to choose between the two who would you pick. Matt, your current man, or Jared, who I've heard is a natural flirt, but dangerous to a girl's sanity?

*whispers* Feel free to give me juicy details.

Choose between them for what? *eyeroll* And why, do you want me to put in a good word for you with Jared? Don't really know if he's your type.

If I was still single, I'd take you up on that offer. But really, you're doing a wonderful job of not actually answering any of my questions. So, Anabel is your entire story a bunch of misdirection and flip flop?

I suppose you make a good point. But I what I say doesn't matter much, does it? You only see what you want to.

What do you think of the book title? Did your author have it right, are you divided?

I didn't agree with her at first, but I seldom do. She saw what I didn't want to see, though. So yes. It was an apt assessment. Things are different now, though.

Do you care to elaborate? Or should I offer incentive?

What kind of incentive? I don't need to see your thong again.

I'll beat anyone you want. As long as they agree to it, but I've heard about the people you know. Masochists for sure. *winks*

*laughs* I think I like you. The author and I argue a great deal because I never do what she thinks I should. She was also displeased with my choices this time around and does not hesitate to point out when things are my fault. And then she wonders why we argue...

And that ladies and gents is why you should read Anabel Divided. There's faults, blame, two hot guys, and plenty of hanky panky without the beatings. I may have exaggerated on that last part. *winks*

Thank you Anabel for your lovely, although vague, interview. Readers, get details on where to purchase below.

Blurb:
Anabel Martin thought that the resolution of her father's murder would bring
a resolution to her problems. After all, she was starting life over in a new
place, with new friends, and new adventures, focusing on attending college
and raising her daughter free from the distractions of Washington, DC. She
was ready to move on.
But a trip back to the District for Meghan's wedding stirs up old feelings
and brings new life to old relationships. Matt is cold and distant, while
Jared is caring and attentive. A woman from Matt's past, a bold public
flirtation, and Anabel's desire to be truly loved lead her to a
crossroads...and her final decision leaves her with more questions than
answers.

Author Bio:
Amanda Romine Lynch is a writer, editor, and blogger who grew up in Florida

knowing she belonged somewhere else. She now lives in the DC Metro Area with her
husband and three amazing little boys. She is the Eco-Friendly/Green Living
Contributor over at the Prime Parents’ Club and strives to live earth friendly in a
world of disposable diapers. When not writing about Anabel and Jared or chasing
around a curly-haired boy, she cheers for the Gators (in all kinds of weather) and
occasionally remembers to sleep.

Rising from the Slush: Alexa Bourne #newrelease

My path toward publication had quite a few bumps. Sometimes I tripped over a tree limb and sometimes I got to stand under bright sunshine. Are there things I’d do differently than I did in years past? Absolutely. But I still consider myself lucky to be able to share my stories with readers everywhere.

Although I’d been writing for as long as I could remember, it wasn't until I got to college that I began thinking of actually pursuing publication. My best friend poked and prodded me in the direction of writing groups. She loved my writing and had great faith in me. With her support, I began approaching my writing as a second job that would eventually pay off. I entered my 1st writing contest and came in 3rd from the bottom of my category. But the constructive criticism stirred the fighter in me. I couldn’t give up. The following year I won the category with a new book. It was 2003. Although I got better with each book, it took me until 2011 to sign my 1st contract.

The interesting part is I submitted to that first publisher on a whim. A friend of mine mentioned her publisher was looking for stories set in foreign countries with a flair of the local culture. I've traveled quite a bit and she thought I’d be a perfect match. Turned out she was right. My latest release, Wake Me, is my 9th book (although not all of them are set in foreign countries) and I’m currently working on edits for #10. The job isn't always perfect, but nothing beats writing a story I love and being able to share it with the world.

Want to know more about Alexa's book:
Her psychic dreams come true.
Sarah McKinley’s attempts to take her foreknowledge of crimes to the Seattle Police Department marked her as a troublemaker and were never taken seriously. Starting over in Austin, she plans never to reveal her gift, but shortly after she arrives, the dreams begin again, and the local police want to know why she has knowledge only the killer could possess.
Detective Jesse Cordell watched his mother con people with her “psychic ability” all through his childhood. He hones in on Sarah, who has means, motive, and opportunity to have murdered the victim in his current investigation. Instinct tells him she didn’t commit the crime, but she definitely knows more than she’s letting on.
Can he put aside his doubts and join forces with her, against everything he believes in, to find the real killer? Or will he do his job and put her behind bars? After all, there’s no such thing as the “psychic ability.” Or is there?

New Release: Hunter's Mark by V.S. Morgan

Blurb: Artist Casey Smith lives a quiet life, under the radar of his enemies, until one fateful night he loses control and the astonishing image of a wolf racing down a suburban street splashes all over social media.

Hunter’s bullet never misses its target. The assassin seeks out and kills his prey with a clear conscience by following two simple rules: 1) Don’t kill innocents 2) Don’t kill shifters.

Realizing his latest assignment violates those rules, the hunter activates Princess Protocol and the assassin becomes the protector. Red hot attraction flares between the hit man and his former target. Can Hunter resist the sweet shifter in his care?

Excerpt:
He stepped closer to Casey’s stall but stumbled over something small and furry. The toe of one Birkenstock caught on a clump of grass as he attempted not to trample the little beast, and he ass-planted with said beast jumping onto his chest to give him a broad doggie smile.
His buddy laughed piss-your-pants-hard in his ear. Fuck a duck.
“Miss Priscilla!”
The target he’d worked so hard to observe remotely sank to the ground between his sprawled-out legs, peeling the tiny hairball off his chest and setting it on the ground.
“I’m so sorry! Are you okay?”
Big blue eyes fringed with long, pale lashes scanned his body while strong yet gentle hands moved over his ankles and legs, searching for an injury. Oh, a toucher. His wolf basked in the tactile attention. His breath hitched as those hands glided past his knees and skimmed his thighs.
Damn, he needed to get laid after this assignment.
“Oh, my, what a li’l sweetie. Look at those freckles! I wonder if he’s got them everywhere. I’d like to lick them,” Rex crowed in his ear.
He growled.
The other man chortled. “Possessive, much?”
He inhaled deeply, only to be slammed with the force of a Mack truck. Strawberries on a warm summer’s day and fresh-cut grass—shit, his target smelled delicious. He took another breath, and his brain reeled. He’s a wolf shifter, too? Fuck.
Casey’s brows furrowed. “Where are you hurt?”
He forced a smile. “I’m fine. No worries.”
Casey returned the smile, his wide and high beam combined with sparkling eyes. Hunter stared as warmth wrapped around him like a blanket. He had no ammo against such a happy, open expression. The guy freaking glowed.

Review: Hallow's Eve by Pippa Jay

It's a review... something that rarely happens, but I had to read this one. Have you seen the cover? If not, I've got it right here.

Now a review:

Holy Sweet Paranormal Romance Batman.

No, literally, this is sweet, short paranormal romance. There's tons of potential with this world that Pippa has created and I love a good story with a tortured hero.

Let's talk about that hero, Hallow. Hal, to his friends, is a warlock, like his father before him. Generations of warlocks and witches have lived in his home, and he is capable of magic I wouldn't touch with a six foot pole.

Our heroine, Eve, doesn't get as much air time as I would've liked, but what I did get is a well-rounded, likeable character who definitely deserves Hal's devotion.

Add in some wicked warlocks and witches who exist as a magic governing body called The Circle, a brownie housekeeper, a dog who just needs some loving, and a touch of a miracle AND you get a quick, short read that will spike all those good fall and Halloween feels.

I hope at some point Pippa will go back and explore this world she's given me a taste of. I wouldn't mind spending a little more time with Hal and Eve either.

Blurb: A new love will test the boundaries of passion between a privileged boy next door and the tattooed, blue-haired girl who helps him embrace his wild side...

Nate has developed quite a playboy reputation around campus. It's not that he doesn't respect or trust women; he doesn't trust himself. The men in Nate’s family are prone to abusive behavior—a dirty secret that Nate’s been running from his entire life—so Nate doesn't do relationships. But he can’t help himself around one girl…

Jessie is strong, independent, and works at a tattoo parlor. Nate can’t resist getting close to her, even if it’s strictly a friendship. But it doesn't take long for Nate to admit that what he wants with Jessie is more than just friendly.

With Jessie, he can be himself and explore what he’s always felt was a terrifying darkness inside him. Funday Monday- Where I am, Where I Stand, and Where I Thrive

1- Scream! for the Cure has launched. Yesterday was the kickoff. I've got a lovely little button over
on the side that you can click to visit. If you're lazy, like I'm prone to be, then click the image below. The first auction basket will be Paranormal Romance, which unlike many believe is not dead and is instead still a great source of creative story lines.

2- Today, I'm over at Cate Masters blog for part of her Halloween celebration. To say this woman loves Halloween is an understatement. Feel free to swing by, I'm giving away a copy of my upcoming
With This Kilt, I Thee Bed to a lucky commenter.

3- Dear Author Support Fund. So, I'm late to the #notchilled party. Thankfully I'm not affected, yet. The problem with the lawsuit being levied against Jane Litte, Dear Author Founder, is that it threatens all of us. Our voice, our ability to express our opinions, and our right to speak out against a suit that is meant to bully and silence. The only other things I will say on this matter are the following:

- I despise bullies. Bullying is something I won't tolerate. Ever. I've been a recipient of Dear Author's opinions and in no way am I her biggest fan, but I refuse to see someone else bullied for stating facts, and speculating on those facts.
- Everyone has the choice to make their own opinion, but when you turn to verbally bashing or attacking anyone who doesn't agree with you then you've allowed yourself to sink to the same level as the person(s) you're objecting against. There are ways to take action without diving into verbal sparring wars.

4- In much happier news it's October and the season for stews, chilis, and yummy recipes. I love fall for a multitude of reasons and I encourage other readers, writers, and foodies to check out my Pinterest board with it's bevy of recipes and I'm always searching for more. I've even thrown in a few Halloween Treat Ideas.

Final countdown: 3 days until we Scream!

Who and What: Scream! For the Cure is a multi-author, multi-genre auction to benefit Stand Up 2 Cancer, one of the leaders in supporting cancer research. 100% of donations goes to research.

When: Beginning October 5th readers will have an opportunity to bid for baskets. The categories are Erotic Romance, Urban Fantasy, YA & Adult paranormal romance, and Horror/Suspense. We’ll be showcasing the baskets the week they go up for auction, with the auctions taking place on that Friday.

How: In the comments. When the auction posts go live, you bid in the comment section.

More: In-between, we’ll also have guest posts from different authors and bloggers talking about their personal struggles with cancer, some who’ve battled the disease themselves, and some who have witnessed the ongoing struggle through someone else. *WAVES* I'll be posting, and crying. So I'm coming with a box of kleenex.

Plus: It’ll also be a forum for people to talk about their experiences, maybe share some uplifting stories as well. It’ll be whatever we want it to be.

Here's a quick glance at some of the Urban Fantasy, YA, Paranormal Romance, Erotic Romance, and Horror Authors participating.

Cover Reveal: Hallow's Eve by Pippa Jay #giveaway #releaseinfo

Can one night of magic heal his heart?
Coming 8th October, Hallow’s Eve will be available in all digital formats from Amazon, B&N, Smashwords, All Romance eBooks, and most digital online retailers.

Blurb:
Twelve months ago, Hal’s world crashed and burned, taking the love of his life with it. He’s waited all year for that one special night when the souls of the departed come home, hoping his candle will summon back one in particular to heal his broken heart. But the forbidden knowledge he’s learned could call something far worse, and put more than his own soul at
risk...
Excerpt:
The thud and chink of beer bottles and glasses on the bar announced Dan’s return.
“So?”
Hal shook his head. “Not tonight.”
“Oh, c’mon, man. Just one beer.”
Hal dropped his gaze to the glass he was still drying with a vehemence it didn’t deserve, avoiding his friend’s pleading stare. “Thanks, but I’m not in the mood.”
Dan made an exasperated sound. “Look, I know it’s nearly a year—”
Pain lanced into his chest. “Stop.” He looked up.
A frown creasing his tanned face, Dan glared back, but he shut up.
Hal sucked in a breath. He didn’t want to fight with Dan over this. The guy had stopped Hal’s life completely falling apart after last Halloween. “I know what you’re trying to do,” he murmured, and relief flickered in Dan’s brown eyes. “But I’m not ready to let it go.”
“I’m not saying you should, man. But how about getting back into some social interaction? You can’t spend the rest of your life as a recluse.”
“I won’t.” Hal smiled. Dan had no idea.
“Then come out for a beer.”
“Another time.”
“Tomorrow then. I know you’ve got the Halloween shift off.”
Hal put down the glass he’d abused. “I’m busy.”
“Oh, yeah? Doing what? Trick or treating?” Dan scoffed. “What is it with you and Halloween? You never struck me as religious enough to find it offensive, but you don’t go out and have any fun either. So how come you always take the night off?”
Hal looked around the bar at all the tawdry holiday decorations, and debated how to answer. Maybe Dan thought he was a closet Christian or something. The truth would shock the hell out of him. Especially with what Hal had planned this year. “My...family don’t see it as something to joke about.”
“Oh. Strict Catholic or something?”

“Something like that.” Hal smiled at the thought of his parents taking Holy Communion. But let Dan interpret it any way he liked.
