It's a review... something that rarely happens, but I had to read this one. Have you seen the cover? If not, I've got it right here.
Now a review:
Holy Sweet Paranormal Romance Batman.
No, literally, this is sweet, short paranormal romance. There's tons of potential with this world that Pippa has created and I love a good story with a tortured hero.
Let's talk about that hero, Hallow. Hal, to his friends, is a warlock, like his father before him. Generations of warlocks and witches have lived in his home, and he is capable of magic I wouldn't touch with a six foot pole.
Our heroine, Eve, doesn't get as much air time as I would've liked, but what I did get is a well-rounded, likeable character who definitely deserves Hal's devotion.
Add in some wicked warlocks and witches who exist as a magic governing body called The Circle, a brownie housekeeper, a dog who just needs some loving, and a touch of a miracle AND you get a quick, short read that will spike all those good fall and Halloween feels.
I hope at some point Pippa will go back and explore this world she's given me a taste of. I wouldn't mind spending a little more time with Hal and Eve either.

About the Author:
After spending twelve years working as an Analytical Chemist in a Metals and Minerals laboratory, Pippa Jay is now a stay-at-home mum who writes scifi and the supernatural. Somewhere along the way a touch of romance crept into her work and refused to leave. In between torturing her plethora of characters, she spends the odd free moment playing guitar very badly, punishing herself with freestyle street dance, and studying the Dark Side of the Force. Although happily settled in the historical town of Colchester in the UK with her husband of 21 years and three little monsters, she continues to roam the rest of the Universe in her head.
You can stalk her at her website, or at her blog, but without doubt her favorite place to hang around and chat is on Twitter as @pippajaygreen.
Thank you!
